What this 2-position MX150 housing is for
The one thing that stops a build: contacts not included
The spec note is explicit: Contacts Not Included. If this lands on your bench without the matching MX150 female socket terminals (crimp type, 20-22 AWG typical), the build stops. The secondary latch holder (TPA) on the housing confirms the terminal is fully seated before the connector is mated.
Sealing and temperature range — where this housing works
The MX150 series uses interfacial seals and wire seals to achieve an IP-rated waterproof connection when mated with the matching male header and proper seals are installed. The 125°C upper operating limit means this housing can sit on an engine block or inside a hot industrial enclosure without the PBT housing softening or the latch losing its grip. The latch holder fastening type is the primary retention — it resists un-mating from cable pull or machine vibration better than a simple friction lock.
This receptacle mates with the MX150 male header (typically the 33471 series male counterpart with the same 3.50 mm pitch and 2-circuit layout). The single-row, 2-position layout is the smallest in the MX150 33471 family — if the BOM calls for more circuits, the same series offers 3-, 4-, and 6-position variants at the same pitch.
