It uses a 0.079" (2.00mm) pitch — tighter than the legacy 0.100" (2.54mm) USCAR standard — to shrink connector width while keeping enough creepage for 14V and 48V vehicle architectures. The gray PBT housing carries a built-in Connector Position Assurance (CPA) latch that locks the mating pair and provides a tactile click when fully seated, preventing partial mates in high-vibration environments.
Ordering just the housing leaves the harness half-built.
Free-hanging (in-line) mounting with a latch holder fastening type — the housing mates with a Mini50 2.00mm pitch header (male pin header, typically right-angle or vertical through-hole). The CPA latch engages with a corresponding ramp on the header shroud. Termination is crimp: the female socket contact is crimped onto the wire, inserted into the rear of the housing until the terminal lance locks, and the CPA actuator is then closed to verify full seating.
