Sealed 8-Circuit Receptacle for Mini50 Harnesses
It uses a 0.071" (1.80mm) pitch — tighter than the industry-standard 2.54mm — to save PCB and connector real estate while maintaining the current capacity needed for sensor, lighting, and low-power actuator circuits. A built-in Connector Position Assurance (CPA) latch locks the mate, and the seal keeps out moisture and road spray.
This receptacle mates with a Mini50 male header from the same 34894 series — the exact mating part number depends on the circuit count and mounting orientation (through-hole or SMT). The female socket contacts are crimp-terminated to the wire (crimp terminal sold separately), making it field-serviceable for harness assembly and repair. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting type suits it for harness-to-harness or harness-to-device connections where a panel-mount header is on the other side.
Sealing and Vibration Resistance
Two features define the reliability envelope here: the integrated seal and the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) latch. The seal keeps the contacts dry in IP67-class environments (washdown, rain, splash zones). The CPA provides a secondary lock that prevents the connector halves from backing apart under vibration — critical for engine-bay or chassis harnesses where a loose mate means an intermittent fault. The 125°C upper operating limit confirms it for underhood use, not just passenger cabin.
