The 0.071" (1.80mm) pitch is what defines the Mini50 family — it's tighter than the traditional 0.100" (2.54mm) automotive connector, letting you fit more circuits into the same panel cutout or junction box footprint. The sealed housing means this receptacle is suited for underhood engine compartments, exposed chassis harnesses, or anywhere the connector sees splash, condensation, or pressure washdown. The seal only works when the connector is fully mated and the latch lock is engaged — an unmated half leaves the cavity open to the environment. If the application cycles between mated and unmated states in a wet area, cap the open half.
