19-Position Eurostyle 39351 Plug – Key Specs for the Build
This is a 19-position plug from the Molex Eurostyle 39351 series, with female sockets accepting 16-24 AWG wire. Rated 10 A at 300 V (UL), the current ceiling is limited by the temperature rise through the PA46 housing — the 140°C operating temperature gives headroom in a warm cabinet, but the 10 A figure is the safe continuous limit at the terminal block level. Termination is screw rising cage clamp — the M2 screw drives a clamp that rises to trap the conductor against the contact body. This is a field-service-friendly termination for solid or stranded wire, but it does demand a screwdriver and a torque spec on the line.
Contact and Housing Materials – Field Reliability
Contacts are beryllium copper with a tin mating finish. Beryllium copper holds its spring force at elevated temperatures better than phosphor bronze, which matters for maintaining contact pressure over years of thermal cycling in an industrial panel. The housing is polyamide PA46 (Nylon 4/6), rated for 140°C continuous. PA46 absorbs less moisture than standard Nylon 6/6, so dimensional stability in humid environments is better — relevant if the plug sits in an unsealed enclosure.
Mating and Wire-Entry Orientation
It mates with a Eurostyle 39351 header (male pins) on the board; the 19-position header is the mating half.
