What the 8 A rating means in practice
The 0395056010: Rated 8 A per contact under UL conditions — this is the continuous current at 25 °C ambient with all positions loaded. The tin-plated brass contacts carry that current without exceeding the material's temperature rise, but tin-on-tin interfaces are best suited for applications with fewer than 25 mating cycles; beyond that gold plating is preferred. The 300 V voltage rating covers typical signal and low-power distribution in industrial control cabinets.
Through-hole solder termination — the contact tail length is 0.138" (3.50 mm), matching the board thickness for a standard solder joint.
