The 0.150" (3.81mm) pitch sets the board footprint — each contact centerline is 3.81 mm apart, which is the standard spacing for Eurostyle terminal block mating. The through-hole solder tails go into plated holes; the shrouded walls protect the pins during handling and guide the mating plug into alignment.
