Panel wiring with the Molex Eurostyle 39890
The 0398900304: The 0.197" (5.00mm) pitch gives enough spacing between positions for 16-30 AWG stranded or solid wire terminated by the rising cage clamp. The M3 screw applies the clamp force at a specified torque of 0.68 Nm (6 Lb-In), which sets the contact resistance and pull-out repeatability for field wiring. The black polyamide (nylon) housing carries a 300 V rating and accepts a 13.5 A per-position load — the current limit is set by the wire gauge and the ambient temperature inside the enclosure, not the terminal block itself.
Wiring the rising cage clamp
The rising cage clamp captures the stripped wire between the nickel-plated copper clamp and the conductor path. The M3 screw, also nickel-plated copper alloy, drives the clamp upward — the wire is not wrapped around the screw. Strip length should match the clamp depth; the datasheet drawing gives the insertion depth. The side interlocking feature lets multiple 0398900304 blocks snap together side-by-side to build a multi-pole strip on a common PCB footprint, sharing the 5.00 mm pitch across all positions.
