Glow Wire Compliance and Flame Rating
The header is glow wire compliant (GW), a critical safety feature for appliances and industrial equipment that must pass IEC 60335-1 glow-wire tests. The housing material is glass-filled polyamide rated UL94 V-0, meaning it stops burning within 10 seconds on a vertical test — no flaming drips.
Tin is suitable for moderate mating cycle counts (typically 50–100 cycles) in non-corrosive environments. The 3 A per contact rating is the continuous current limit at room temperature; derate above 85 °C ambient per the product derating curve.
The header mates with the Mini-Lock 53426 receptacle housing (e.g., 053426 series) and uses a kinked pin, solder termination for through-hole mounting. The contact length - mating is 0.157" (4.00 mm), and the contact length - post is 0.134" (3.40 mm). The insulation height of 0.264" (6.70 mm) provides clearance for the mating housing latch.
