Housing and Environmental Rating
The insulator is glass-filled LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer), rated UL94 V-0. LCP handles reflow temperatures without warping and resists cleaning solvents — common in automotive ECU and telecom line-card assemblies where the board goes through multiple thermal cycles. That gives a low board profile — the pins stand about 0.150" above the insulator top after mating.
