This SMP plug mates with a standard SMP jack (female) using a snap-on fastening mechanism. The full detent feature gives a defined latching feel and holds the pair mated without additional hardware — useful in multi-port arrays where axial space is tight.
Materials and Construction
Gold-over-beryllium copper on the centre pin gives good mating cycle life and low contact resistance at microwave frequencies.
