The Molex 0879180301 is a 244-position MiniDIMM socket from the 87918 series, designed for DDR3 SDRAM memory modules. The right-angle SMT orientation places the module parallel to the board, keeping the z-height budget tight in low-profile enclosures.
Board-Mount and Routing Fit
Surface-mount termination with board guides and latches — the board guides align the module during insertion, and the latches hold the SODIMM in place against vibration. The 0.385" (9.79mm) height sets the clearance needed under the module for trace routing on the top layer. The connector accepts memory cards with a thickness of 0.039" (1.00mm), standard for DDR3 SODIMM modules.
