What the 3.50mm Pitch and Locking Ramp Mean for the Assembly
The 3.50mm pitch gives enough room between contacts for the 125°C-rated PA46 housing to handle the current load typical of power and signal circuits in a sealed connector — without forcing an oversized footprint on the panel cutout. The locking ramp engages with a positive click on the mating receptacle, and the TPA acts as a secondary lock: if a terminal isn't fully crimped and inserted, the TPA won't slide home.
