Right-Angle 2-Pin Header for Wire-to-Board Power
The 15-97-8022: This is a 2-circuit, 2-row, right-angle through-hole header from the Molex Mini-Fit TPA 30070 series. It mates with a Mini-Fit TPA receptacle housing (sold separately) to form a board-to-cable/wire connection. The 4-wall shrouding and locking ramp keep the pair mated under vibration—a ring lug under a screw is one thing, but this latch gives you a positive mechanical lock that won't back out on a machine tool or a telecom rectifier.
The post length of 0.161" (4.10 mm) and insulation height of 0.461" (11.71 mm) define the through-hole standoff and the keep-out zone above the board. A mounting flange on the header provides additional mechanical retention to the PCB—useful when the cable harness exerts shear force on the connector.
Mating and Locking Details
This is a vibration-resistant mate—the ramp holds the pair together until you deliberately lift the latch to disconnect. Contact material is brass with square male pins. The square shape provides a reliable gas-tight interface with the receptacle's female terminal. All 2 positions are loaded.
