Power blade plug for high-current board termination
The Molex 1510530002 is the 2-circuit member of the EXTreme Guardian 151053 series — a through-hole, solder-terminated plug carrying male blades rated 80 A per circuit at 600 V. The 0.433" (11.00 mm) pitch provides the creepage distance that 600 V demands without crowding the board. Gold plating at 30.0 µin on the mating surface handles repeated connect-disconnect cycles in field-service environments, while the locking ramp keeps the pair mated under vibration. The black LCP housing is rated for -40°C to 105°C operation, suiting it for industrial power distribution, server PSU bus bars, and battery interconnect assemblies.
What the ratings mean for the fit
80 A per circuit means each power blade carries bus-level current — sized for the main DC rail, not a signal line. The 600 V rating is supported by the 11.00 mm pitch, which gives enough clearance for that voltage without forcing an oversized board footprint. The 30.0 µin gold plating is field-service grade: it withstands repeated mating cycles and resists corrosion in industrial or outdoor cabinet environments better than tin. The locking ramp provides positive retention under shock and vibration — a requirement for wire-to-board power connections in moving equipment.
Mating and termination
This plug mates with the matching EXTreme Guardian receptacle housing (sold separately). Termination is through-hole solder — the male blades are inserted into the PCB and soldered, creating a permanent, high-current joint. The single-row, 2-position layout keeps the board footprint compact for a connector rated at this current level.
