Sealing and Retention in the Field
This is a sealed receptacle — the housing integrates a perimeter seal that mates with the corresponding plug to achieve an IP-rated interface (the MX150 series is commonly rated IP67 when mated). The latch holder keeps the pair locked under vibration; the CPA adds a secondary lock that prevents the terminals from backing out if the primary latch is accidentally depressed during service. For a field-service tech, that means the harness can be disconnected and reconnected repeatedly without losing terminal retention.
