Bare Housing — Order the Terminals Separately
The Molex 1727080002 is a 2-position, dual-row receptacle housing from the Mini-Fit TPA2 172708 series. It is a free-hanging (in-line) connector body with a latch lock for positive retention when mated. The housing is black polyamide (nylon), and contacts are not included — you order the female crimp sockets separately.
What Mates and What Fits Inside
This receptacle mates with the corresponding Mini-Fit TPA2 male header (2-position, dual-row). The latch lock on the housing clicks into place on the header for a vibration-resistant mate — no secondary fastener needed in most installations. For the female contacts, use standard Mini-Fit crimp terminals (e.g., Molex 44476-1112 or similar, depending on wire gauge). The housing accepts 20-24 AWG wire with the correct terminal. Because contacts are not included, verify the terminal part number and the wire size against your harness build before placing the order.
