The Molex 2016450361 is a dual-row, 36-position header from the Spot-On 1.5 series, pitched at 1.50 mm between contacts. It connects a board to a cable assembly — the male pins mate with the corresponding receptacle housing and crimp terminals, carrying signal or low-power circuits across the harness.
In a 36-position dual-row layout, the overall width across the rows is roughly 13.5 mm, and the length along the row is about 27 mm (18 positions per row × 1.50 mm). This gives the board designer a clear fan-out channel for traces between pads. The SMT termination and Pick and Place feature mean the header is compatible with automated assembly — the tape-and-reel packaging feeds into a placement machine, and the flat solder tails reflow onto the board pads.
This header mates with the Spot-On 1.5 receptacle housing (sold separately) which accepts crimp terminals for 20-24 AWG wire. If it backs out, it's scrap; you should hear it click.
