3-circuit board-to-wire header with locking ramp
The 2189890300 is the 3-circuit member of Molex's Micro-Fit+ 218989 shrouded header line, designed for board-to-wire power and signal interconnects. It carries tin-plated mating contacts, a 0.118" (3.00mm) pitch, and a locking ramp fastening system that holds the mated pair against vibration. The header mounts surface-mount right-angle and includes solder retention features for reflow stability. Rated 600VAC/DC, the housing is black LCP with UL94 V-0 flammability rating, operating from -40°C to 105°C.
Pitch, footprint, and routing density
The 3.00mm pitch and single-row layout keep the board footprint narrow — useful for tight edge-routing where a dual-row header would crowd adjacent traces. The 4-wall shrouding protects the pins during handling and guides the mating receptacle.
Mating and termination
Termination is solder to the PCB — the SMT right-angle orientation places the pin axis parallel to the board surface. The locking ramp engages with the matching receptacle latch; the solder retention feature holds the part in place during reflow.
