Beau 38700 — 8-Circuit Barrier Block
The Molex Beau 387006108 is the 8-circuit member of the Beau 38700 single-row barrier strip series, rated 15 A per circuit at 300 V with a 0.325-inch (8.26 mm) pitch and a dual-wall barrier construction. The top termination uses screws accepting 14-22 AWG conductors; the bottom terminates as a PC pin for through-hole panel or board mount. The flange feature provides a secure anchoring point during panel installation — important for vibration-prone industrial environments where the strip is typically mounted to a chassis or panel face before field wiring occurs. Black thermoplastic housing with a zinc-clear-chromate steel terminal screw carries an operating range of -40°C to 130°C, and the 8 individual wire-entry slots allow each conductor to be landed independently with a single screw per position.
Where the Beau 38700 Series Is Used
Barrier strips of this type are a standard termination point in industrial control panels, power distribution blocks, and harness assemblies — anywhere a discrete wire needs a reusable, field-serviceable connection point that can be torqued to a known value and inspected visually. The dual-wall barrier construction isolates adjacent circuits and reduces the risk of accidental shorting during maintenance wiring.
