Where a dual-wall 2-circuit barrier strip fits
The Beau 38711 series covers panel and chassis wiring where a rugged, open-face barrier block replaces a terminal block and separate barrier strip. The 387112202 is the 2-circuit member, 0.375" pitch, rated 15 A per circuit at 300 V, with top screws and wire-wrap bottom posts. Wire gauge range is 14–22 AWG. The zinc clear chromate finish on the steel terminal screws resists corrosion in panel environments — important when the assembly sits near field wiring entry points. The dual-wall (2 wall) barrier construction encloses the sides of each circuit cavity, reducing the chance of a tool shorting adjacent terminations during field wiring. The flange feature on this variant adds a mounting ear for panel attachment without a separate clip.
Termination and mounting
Top termination is screws — torque-specified hardware for field wire entry. Bottom termination is wire-wrap posts, a fixed connection method: once wrapped, the joint is permanent unless the post is unwrapped. Confirm the board layout has wire-wrap posts accessible for post-production changes, or that the application demands a permanent bottom-side connection. Mounting is chassis and panel through hole — the connector sits on the panel face or within an enclosure, not on a PCB. Board-level routing is unaffected, but the through-hole footprint and flange hole pattern must be cleared in the panel layout. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 100°C, covering most industrial enclosure environments without derating at the connector itself.
