Ratings that drive the fit check
The 387203209: The 15 A per circuit rating governs the wire gauge window. With the 14–22 AWG range, this 9-position block covers the lighter end of the industrial harness — branch circuits, signal rail distribution, low-power bus segments. The dual-wall barrier construction encloses each circuit path better than an open-strip design, which matters in panels where adjacent terminations could short if a wire strands under vibration. The operating window of -40 °C to 100 °C covers the thermal spread of a typical enclosed cabinet without derating concerns at the stated current.
What the termination means on the bench
Top termination is screws with zinc clear-chromate finish — the steel screw material gives mechanical bite into the conductor without galling the plating on repeated cycling. Bottom side is a solder turret, which accepts a single wire or lead dress from the board side; the turret is insulated, so no adjacent short risk at the board interface. The flange feature and chassis/panel mounting type lock the block flat against a panel surface before any wire is landed, which is the standard panel-wiring sequence — mount first, then wire.
