Panel Power Distribution, One Screw at a Time
The Molex 387600112 is the 12-circuit member of the Beau 38760 series — a dual-row barrier terminal block built for chassis-mounted power distribution in control panels and junction boxes. Each of the 12 positions carries 15 A at 300 V across a 0.375" (9.53 mm) pitch, with the dual-wall barrier providing physical isolation between circuits so a stripped wire or a loose screwdriver bridge doesn't take out the adjacent feed.
The 0.375" (9.53 mm) pitch is wide enough to handle 300 V between adjacent terminals without forcing an oversized panel cutout — the dual-wall barrier handles the creepage, not an air gap. 15 A per circuit means each screw clamp can land a 14 AWG power feed or a 22 AWG signal return; the current limit is the terminal screw torque and the wire temperature rise, not the housing. The closed bottom termination means wires enter only from the top — no feed-through, so this block is for terminating field wiring inside the enclosure, not for pass-through busbars.
Termination and Mounting in Practice
Top termination is by screw clamp — steel screws with a zinc, clear chromate finish, landing 14-22 AWG wire. The flange on each end accepts a chassis or panel screw; the closed bottom means no rear access is needed. The dual-row layout gives 24 wire entries (two per circuit), so each position can land a daisy-chain feed and a load wire under the same screw. The thermoplastic insulation is rated UL94 V-0, which is the baseline for equipment inside a UL-listed enclosure.
