What this is and where it fits
The Molex 387800116 is the 16-circuit member of the Beau 38780 series — a dual-row barrier strip designed for chassis and panel wiring in industrial control and power-distribution enclosures. The 0.438" (11.12 mm) pitch sets the terminal spacing; with 2 rows and 32 wire entries, the block covers a 16-circuit harness at two entries per circuit. Rated 15 A per circuit at 300 V, it accepts 14-22 AWG conductors at the screw-top entries and mounts via flange to the panel surface.
Screw termination and field-service reality
The top termination uses steel screws with zinc-clear chromate finish — the field tech's standard flat-blade or hex-key driver handles re-tensioning without special tooling. Bottom termination is closed, so there is no stando-through option; the block is intended for a fixed panel location rather than through-panel feed. The 2-wall dual barrier construction keeps adjacent circuits separated under vibration and thermal cycling — the primary failure mode in barrier strips is loose screw tension, not contact fretting, so a torque-spec reference on the datasheet is worth pulling before installation.
