Power Barrier Block for Panel and PCB Termination
The Molex 389690004 is a 4-circuit barrier strip from the 38969 series, built for terminating 8-20 AWG wire to a printed circuit board. It carries a 50 A per-circuit current rating at 600 V — bus-level power in a through-hole package, sized for the main supply rail or high-current distribution point, not a signal line. The 0.500" (12.70 mm) pitch gives the creepage needed for that 600 V rating without forcing an oversized board footprint. Three-wall (tri) barrier construction surrounds each termination point, preventing accidental shorting between adjacent circuits during wiring or service. Top termination uses screws with captive plates — the plate stays captured in the screw thread, so it does not drop out during field wiring.
