What it is
The 389690005 is a 5-circuit barrier block from Molex's 38969 series — a single-row, through-hole mount terminal strip rated 50 A per circuit at 600 V. The top termination uses screws with a captive plate; the bottom terminates to a PCB pin, making it a board-edge wire-to-board interconnect rather than a panel-mount dead-front barrier strip.
Material and environmental rating
The PBT housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating and the operating window spans -40°C to 120°C — wide enough for most industrial enclosure or harness bay positions. Nickel-plated steel terminal screws resist corrosion at the termination face. With 5 wire entries and a 3-wall (tri) barrier geometry, the design limits creepage between adjacent circuits at the rated 600 V.
