Terminal Strip Overview
The Molex 391002006 is a 6-circuit Eurostyle 39100 terminal strip designed for chassis or panel mounting in power distribution and industrial control applications. It carries a 30 A per circuit rating at 600 V, which puts it in the bus-level power class — sized for main supply rails, not signal-level branching. The 0.394" (10.00 mm) pitch gives enough creepage for the 600 V rating without forcing an oversized panel footprint, and the enclosed barrier type keeps accidental contact off the live terminals. The dual-row layout with 12 wire entries accepts 10-18 AWG conductors terminated under zinc-plated steel screws. The closed bottom means the strip sits flush against the mounting surface — no exposed terminations on the back side.
The 10-18 AWG wire range means the strip accepts solid or stranded copper up to 6 mm² — common for motor leads, heater circuits, and control transformers. The zinc-plated steel terminal screws resist corrosion in high-humidity panels, but the steel content means overtightening can cold-flow the wire; torque to the manufacturer's spec in the product drawing.
