What the 391002202 is and where it sits in the series
The Molex 391002202 is the 12mm-pitch (0.472") member of the Eurostyle 39100 series — a 2-circuit enclosed barrier terminal strip rated 40A per circuit at 600V, in a white PA66 housing. Two circuits puts it at the lower-count end of the series alongside the 15mm-pitch 0391002502 (also 2 circuits but rated 63A), and below the 10mm-pitch 0391002012 which stretches the series to 12 circuits at 30A. The pitch difference is the structural differentiator across the 2-circuit members — 12mm versus 15mm means different panel cutout dimensions and different wire routing geometry, not just a current rating delta.
Can you substitute the 0391002502 without reworking the panel?
No. The 0391002502 carries the same Eurostyle 39100 series name and the same 2-circuit count, but the pitch is 15mm (0.591") versus the 391002202's 12mm (0.472") — a 3mm spacing delta that changes the panel cutout and the wire exit geometry. The current rating also climbs to 63A on the 0391002502, and the wire range shifts to 6–14 AWG. If your panel predrill and wire routing were laid out for 15mm, the 12mm strip will not align to those holes, and reverse-rewiring into a 12mm layout for a 15mm part requires a new panel cutout. The two parts are electrically compatible (same 600V rating, same enclosed barrier type) but mechanically they are distinct fit decisions — match the pitch to the panel before specifying.
