What it is and where it sits in the series
The Molex 391002212 is the 12-circuit member of the Eurostyle 39100 series — a 2-row enclosed barrier terminal strip with top-screw termination, chassis or panel mounting, and a 0.472" (12.00 mm) pitch that sets the board footprint and spacing between adjacent circuits. The series spans multiple pitch and current ratings within the same white polyamide housing form, so matching the correct member to the panel cutout and wire gauge is the primary selection step.
Ratings that drive the fit decision
Rated 40 A per circuit at 600 V — that current rating is the key differentiator within the series, since 0391002012 in the same family carries only 30 A. The enclosed barrier construction covers the live screw heads when the cover or adjacent wire is present, which matters in panel wiring where accidental shorting is a live-layout concern. The housing accepts 8-20 AWG across 24 wire entries — the top termination screws are zinc-plated steel and accept a standard flat-blade or Phillips driver. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 105°C, and the PA66 nylon body carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
0391002012 vs 391002212 — same circuit count, different pitch
Both parts carry 12 circuits and sit in the Eurostyle 39100 series with identical white housing and enclosed barrier construction, but the 2 mm pitch delta makes them non-interchangeable in a panel cutout. The 0391002012 runs at 0.394" (10.00 mm) pitch and 30 A per circuit; the 391002212 runs at 0.472" (12.00 mm) pitch and 40 A. If the panel was routed for 10 mm spacing, the 12 mm part will not drop in without rework. The wire gauge range also differs — 0391002012 accepts 10-18 AWG versus the 391002212's 8-20 AWG range, which matters if the harness is already terminated at a larger gauge.
