Terminal Block Overview
The Molex 393570006 is a 6-position, single-level PCB terminal block from the Eurostyle 39357 series. It uses a screw-rising cage clamp termination — the clamp rises to pinch the wire against the conductor, giving a gas-tight connection that resists vibration loosening. Rated 12 A at 300 V, it handles power-level signals in industrial control, HVAC, and lighting panel applications. The 0.138" (3.50mm) pitch keeps the board footprint compact while still allowing enough creepage for the 300 V rating — a common sweet spot for dense terminal blocks on PLC I/O cards and motor controller boards.
Wire termination is screw-rising cage clamp: insert the stripped wire into the clamp opening, tighten the M3 screw, and the clamp rises to trap the conductor against the current bar. The clamp and screw are copper alloy with nickel plating — corrosion-resistant and compatible with copper wire. The contact itself is tin-plated copper alloy, which is standard for power-level terminations where mating cycle count is low. Mounting is through-hole, with the wire entry oriented horizontally (parallel to the PCB).
How It Compares
Against the 5-position 395443005 (0.200" pitch, 15 A) and the 8-position 395443008 (same 0.200" pitch, 15 A) from the Eurostyle ESE 39544 series, the 393570006 trades a tighter 3.50mm pitch for a lower current ceiling — 12 A vs 15 A. The 39544 series also uses steel-zinc plated hardware and a PA66 housing, while the 39357 uses nickel-plated copper alloy and PA (nylon). The 0.200" pitch gives more room for heavier wire (12-30 AWG vs 16-28 AWG), but the 39357's 3.50mm pitch fits denser board layouts. Neither is a drop-in replacement — the footprint and wire range differ.
