What it is — the 39357 series member
The Molex 393570007 is a 7-position single-level Eurostyle terminal block, 0.138 in (3.50 mm) pitch, side-entry horizontal through-hole PCB mount. Screw-rising cage clamp termination accepts 16-28 AWG conductors; the cage grips the full wire cross-section and the clamp tightens against a rising bar as the M3 screw istorqued to 0.31 Nm, so cold-flow on fine-stranded wire is not the concern it is with a fixed-spring cage. The black polyamide (nylon) housing is rated -40°C to 105°C.
What the ratings mean for your selection
The 12 A per circuit rating at 300 V is the relevant number for wire-to-board power or signal distribution at this position count — a 7-way block at this pitch sits comfortably in the panel layout. Copper alloy tin-plated contacts give reliable mating for production runs where gold would be over-specified. The single-level construction means all 7 circuits land on one horizontal plane — no stacking, no dual-row offset to manage in the footprint. Mating orientation is horizontal with board, so the wire entry sits parallel to the PCB surface, not perpendicular.
Not a drop-in for the 39970 series
The 0399700104 carries the same Eurostyle family name but sits in a different series with a decision-critical pitch gap: 0.138 in (3.50 mm) on the 393570007 versus 0.400 in (10.16 mm) on the 0399700104. The 39970 is a 4-position block rated 60 A per circuit at 300 V — the current rating alone tells you it is a power-distribution part, not a signal or light-power companion. It will not drop into a panel routed for the 39357, and reworking that footprint is not a minor revision. If you need a second source for the 39357 position count and pitch, a parametric search on the 39357 series is the right path — the 39970 is not a cross.
Lifecycle and compliance
Quoted to order against BOM quantity — confirm your position count (7), pitch (0.138 in / 3.50 mm), and wire gauge range (16-28 AWG) against the assembly drawing before issuing the RFQ.
