This is a through-hole mount block with a horizontal wire entry — the screw terminals face the board edge, so wires run parallel to the PCB. That orientation suits enclosures where the board sits flat and wires exit sideways, like a DIN-rail mounted controller or a power distribution PCB inside a panel. The 393570012 uses a 3.50 mm pitch against the 5.08 mm of the 39544 series — that means a tighter board footprint and a different hole pattern, so it will not drop into a panel laid out for the wider-pitch block. The 393570012 also carries a lower current rating (12 A vs 15 A) and a narrower wire range (16-28 AWG vs 12-30 AWG). Choose the 393570012 when board space is tight and the load stays under 12 A per circuit; step up to the 39544 series when you need the extra current headroom or want to terminate heavier 12 AWG wire.
