Eurostyle 39700 — 5-circuit push-button terminal block
The Molex 397000105 is a 5-position Eurostyle 39700 series terminal block with a 0.200-inch (5.08 mm) pitch, oriented 45° to the PCB surface for edge termination in panel and DIN-rail wiring harnesses. Rated 18 A per circuit at 300 V, it accepts 12–26 AWG solid or stranded wire through a screwless push-button clamp — the operator depresses the button to open the cage, inserts the wire, and releases to lock without any torque setting.
Termination and field serviceability
The push-button clamp eliminates the torque driver from the termination sequence, which speeds up panel wiring in high-volume builds and removes one variable in field service — no screwdriver or torque specification required at the wire entry. The clamp material is steel and stainless, and the contacts are brass with tin plating, which is the standard finish for non-mating power junctions; the termination does not involve repeated plug cycles, so the tin plating is appropriate for this application. The housing is Polyamide (PA66) / Nylon 6/6 rated over −40°C to 105°C, covering the full operating envelope for most industrial enclosures without a derating concern at room temperature. Wire is locked into the clamp body with the interlocking side feature; the single-level configuration keeps the profile low and the footprint straightforward for through-hole reflow or wave-solder assembly.
