The Molex 397730002 is a 2-position fixed-pin terminal block from the Eurostyle 39773 series, designed for wire-to-board termination in control cabinets, industrial panels, and power distribution assemblies. It uses a screw-rising cage clamp termination — the M1.6 screw drives a nickel-plated copper alloy clamp that pulls the wire against the current bar, giving a gas-tight connection without a separate ferrule. The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch keeps the board footprint compact, while the 10 A at 150 V rating handles typical signal-level and low-power distribution circuits.
Termination and wire handling
The screw-rising cage clamp accepts wire from 16 AWG down to 30 AWG — solid or stranded — with the screw torque set at 0.19 Nm (1.68 Lb-In). The clamp material is copper alloy with nickel plating, and the screw itself is the same nickel-plated copper alloy. The mating orientation is horizontal with the board, meaning the wire entry is parallel to the PCB surface — this matters for enclosure clearance and wire routing in tight panel layouts.
