What it is
The Molex 430450600 is a 6-circuit dual-row board-to-cable header in the Micro-Fit 3.0 43045 series. It mates at 0.118" (3.00 mm) pitch — the standard Micro-Fit 3.0 footprint — and terminates via through-hole right-angle solder. All 6 positions are loaded.
Ratings that drive the fit
Current is rated 8 A per circuit. The 600 V rating exceeds typical board-level bus voltage. Both mating and post-side contacts are tin-plated at 100.0 µin (2.54 µm). Tin gives solid solderability and acceptable cycle life for the connector's primary use as a permanent board-to-cable interconnect; it is not the gold-plating grade that would be specified for high-cycle field mating. Operating range is -40°C to 105°C, housed in glass-filled LCP rated UL94 V-0. The 105 °C ceiling is the constraint to check against when this header sits in a fully-loaded enclosed assembly — derate current per the connector's temperature-rise curve if the ambient approaches that limit.
Shrouding and board retention
The connector is 4-wall shrouded with a locking ramp. The shroud and ramp together resist mis-mating and maintain contact integrity under vibration — the primary reason the Micro-Fit 3.0 series is selected over open-pin headers for automotive and industrial harness sections. The board-lock feature adds retention force at the PCB pad to supplement the solder joint under shock loading.
Sourcing and compliance
The product is Active and ROHS3 Compliant. No successor or cross-reference is listed for this series.
