What the ratings mean
The 430450622: The current rating is 8 A per circuit — this is a power-density rating, not a signal header. The dual plating split is the critical selection detail: gold at 15.0µin (0.38µm) on the mating face gives the wear resistance and low contact resistance at first mate; thick tin at 100.0µin (2.54µm) on the solder tail ensures a reliable solder joint without gold embrittlement concerns. Do not confuse the tin post finish with a tin-rated mating interface — the mating side is gold. The voltage rating of 600V covers industrial mains-adjacent and automotive distribution tiers comfortably.
Where this class of connector is used
Board-to-cable power distribution in automotive, industrial automation, medical equipment, and telecommunications enclosures — anywhere a locked, shrouded header protects the interconnect from accidental pull-out in a service or high-vibration environment. The UL94 V-0 LCP housing supports use near areas where flame resistance is a material requirement. Operating range is -40°C to 105°C, which covers the automotive engine-bay and industrial cold-store envelopes.
