Right-Angle Power Header with Board Lock and Locking Ramp
The Molex 430451202 is the 12-circuit, right-angle, through-hole member of the Micro-Fit 3.0 43045 header family. It's a board-to-wire power interconnect — the 3.00 mm pitch gives enough creepage for the 600 V rating without forcing an oversized board footprint, and the 8 A per circuit rating means each pin carries real power, not just signal-level current. Gold plating on the mating surface (30.0 µin) handles repeated mating cycles in field-service applications, while the tin-plated posts (100.0 µin) solder cleanly into the PCB. The UL94 V-0 LCP housing handles the -40°C to 105°C operating range common in engine compartments and industrial cabinets. Rated applications include automotive, general purpose, industrial, medical, and telecommunications — so it's qualified for environments that need vibration resistance, temperature cycling, and regulatory compliance beyond consumer electronics.
This header mates with standard Micro-Fit 3.0 receptacle housings using the matching crimp terminals (Molex 43030 series for 20-24 AWG). The dual-row 12-circuit layout means the mating half must also be a 2-row, 12-position receptacle — the locking ramp engages the receptacle's latch for positive retention. Termination is solder — the 0.125" (3.18 mm) post length fits standard through-hole boards. The board lock adds mechanical retention during reflow or wave soldering and resists the push force from mating the cable assembly.
