Board-to-Wire Power Header for Automotive and Industrial Harnesses
The Molex 430451226 is a 12-circuit, dual-row header from the Micro-Fit 3.0 43045 series, designed for board-to-wire power interconnects. Its 0.118" (3.00 mm) pitch and 8 A per circuit rating place it in the power-distribution class — the contact geometry and housing are sized for sustained current, not just signal-level switching. The tin-plated solder tails (100.0 µin) are standard for wave-solder processes and provide a reliable joint without the cost of gold on the board side.
The -40°C to 105°C operating range covers under-hood automotive and industrial cabinet environments, though derating above 85°C is typical for a 3.00 mm pitch connector at this current level. The 600 V rating provides ample creepage margin for 48 V and 400 V bus applications, but the limiting factor in a harness is usually the wire gauge, not the connector voltage.
This header mates with the Micro-Fit 3.0 receptacle housings (43025 series) using the matching crimp terminals (43030 for 20-24 AWG or 45750 for 18-24 AWG). The dual-row, 12-circuit layout with 0.118" (3.00 mm) row spacing means the mating receptacle must also be a 12-position, dual-row housing — a 10-circuit or 14-circuit receptacle will not align. The kinked pin solder tails provide a press-fit retention in the plated through-hole before soldering, which helps maintain coplanarity during wave solder.
