What this connector is
The Molex 430451827 is the 18-circuit member of the Micro-Fit 3.0 43045 series — a dual-row, through-hole male header with a 3.00 mm pitch. The 4-wall shroud and locking ramp on the mating interface give it positive retention against vibration, and the board guide feature helps align the header during wave or hand-solder assembly. Contacts are brass with 60.0 µin (1.52 µm) of tin plating on both the mating face and the solder tail.
What the ratings mean for your design
Eight amps per circuit at 600 V puts this squarely in the power-distribution range for board-to-wire interconnects — the current rating is per contact, and the 8 A figure holds within the operating temperature window of -40°C to 105°C. Tin plating at 60.0 µin is the standard signal-duty grade in this series; it delivers reliable mate-and-unmate performance for the connector's intended reconnect count but is not the gold-plated option reserved for higher mating-cycle applications. The 0.390 inch (9.91 mm) insulation height sets the standoff above the PCB surface, which matters for clearancing under the board in dense enclosures. UL94 V-0 flammability rating on the LCP housing clears the enclosure-design gate for most industrial and medical equipment.
Sourcing posture
Listed Active with ROHS3 Compliant status — the standard quoting posture is against the BOM quantity. Confirm the 18-circuit position count against the BOM line before committing.
