What it is and where it sits in the series
The Molex 430452224 is the 22-circuit member of the Micro-Fit 3.0 43045 family — a dual-row 3.00 mm pitch header with through-hole kinked-pin termination, board lock, and locking ramp. All positions are loaded; the contacts are tin-plated at 60.0 µin (1.52 µm) on the mating face and the post, and the insulator is black glass-filled LCP rated UL94 V-0. Board-to-cable headers in this series mate with the matching Micro-Fit 3.0 receptacle housings and their associated crimp terminals, which accept the appropriate wire gauge for the 8 A per circuit rating. The shrouding is four-wall, which fully encloses the contact rows and gives the mated pair protection against side-entry debris and accidental shorting — meaningful in any harness that routes near other live circuits.
What the key ratings mean for your fit
8 A per circuit at 600V — the current rating is per-contact. Tin plating at this thickness is standard-duty for signal and moderate power; it is not the gold-grade cycle-life option, so for high-reconnect applications the receptacle-side contact plating grade is the governing factor. Board lock and locking ramp together handle the mechanical retention problem that a bare friction-fit header creates in a vibrating environment — the board lock stakes into the PCB, the ramp locks the mating half audibly, and the pair stays seated under shock.
