It uses crimp-terminated female socket contacts in a single row on a 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch — a spacing that gives enough room for 18-22 AWG wire without forcing tight bends in the harness. The natural polyester housing is glass-filled for dimensional stability during crimping and assembly.
This receptacle is the cable-side half of a SPOX 43061 connection. It mates with the matching SPOX header (through-hole or vertical) to deliver power or signal in appliances, vending machines, and HVAC controls. The 0°C ~ 75°C operating range limits it to indoor, climate-controlled equipment — not for under-hood or outdoor exposed runs. The glass-filled polyester housing holds up to the crimp force and the occasional tug during service, but the temperature ceiling is the binding constraint for any enclosure that sees direct sunlight or a motor winding.
Termination and Contact Fit
The receptacle accepts a separate crimp terminal — the Molex SPOX 43061 female socket — that is inserted into the cavity and retained by the housing's integral lance. No secondary retainer is used; the terminal pull-force depends on the lance engaging the terminal's window. The 0.156" pitch means the wire stripping and crimp die need to match the terminal's insulation diameter, not just the wire gauge. A standard Molex hand crimp tool with the correct die position seats the terminal consistently.
