What this is
The Molex 43255-0113 is a single-row, 2-circuit shrouded header in the MLX 43255 series — 0.250 inch (6.35 mm) pitch, through-hole solder termination, with a locking ramp and board guide feature to locate and retain the header during assembly and under harness tension. The connector carries a 600 V rating and 12 A per circuit, placing it squarely in low-to-medium power panel and wire-to-board interconnect territory. Circular male pins in phosphor bronze, tin-plated on both the mating face and the solder tail (137.8 µin / 3.50 µm per side). All 2 positions are loaded. The housing is natural PA66 nylon, rated UL94 V-2, from -55 °C to 105 °C.
Second-source — 43255-0099
The 43255-0099 shares the same 6.35 mm pitch, shrouding style, and locking ramp, but it is a 4-row, 12-position header — the position count and row structure are fundamentally different, and the two are not drop-in interchangeable. If the BOM calls for a 12-circuit header the 43255-0099 is the series sibling; for a 2-circuit replacement the 43255-0113 itself is the part to re-order.
Plating and cycle life
Tin-on-tin plating is standard for this series and handles the 12 A rating without issue, but mating cycle life is limited compared to gold — if the application requires repeated reconnect cycles in the field, this connector is better suited to permanent or low-cycle installations. The PA66 housing and UL94 V-2 rating are appropriate for industrial and automotive panel environments.
