The contact layout runs 15 signal positions plus one dedicated power position — the power blade carries the same 60 A per-circuit rating as the signal contacts, giving a single connector the ability to distribute both power and control signals through one mated pair. Gold contact plating at 30.0 µin (0.76 µm) is applied across all contacts, which is the thicker gold grade that supports extended mating cycle life compared to tin-plated alternatives in the same series.
Voltage and current envelope
Rated 600VAC or 250VDC, the 60 A per-circuit rating places this connector squarely in mid-range power distribution — above standard signal headers but below the bus-bar class. The voltage rating is shared across the entire contact set, so the single power blade does not carry a separate or higher voltage ceiling. At 60 A through a blade-socket contact system, the thermal path runs through the press-fit tail into the PCB plane; verify the board copper can absorb the rise without derating the connector below its 105 °C upper operating limit.
Press-fit termination and mounting
Press-fit through-hole termination means the connector lands without solder — the compliant pin section seats in a plated-through hole and makes contact by mechanical interference. This suits high-current bus-bar or backplane architectures where solder joints at 60 A carry reliability risk. The through-hole format also allows the connector to be replaced in the field if the board supports it, unlike some equivalent SMT-only power connectors in the same series.
