Board-layout fit for a 6-circuit signal interconnect
How the gold thickness compares to a sibling
The sibling 5055670681, also a 6-circuit right-angle header in the same series, uses 3.90 µinch gold — a thinner flash suited for fewer mating cycles or less corrosive environments. Another sibling, 5055670651, uses 30.0 µinch gold on both faces — double the thickness of this part, for higher cycle-life requirements. The 5055670631 sits in the middle: more durable than the flash-plated version, less expensive than the heavy-gold option.
This header mates with a Micro-Lock PLUS receptacle housing (505568 series) using crimp terminals. Pick-and-place vacuum area and solder retention features are built into the housing, so the part survives reflow without shifting. The tape-and-reel packaging (Cut Tape also available) feeds directly into automated assembly.
