The connector sits 1.50 mm above the board and supports mated stacking heights of 2mm or 3mm, so you pick the mated pair height to match the gap between your two PCBs.
It is a surface-mount part, shipped in Tape & Reel packaging for pick-and-place.
Mating and Stacking Height Options
The 54363-0278 mates with a matching SlimStack 54363 header (same 0.50 mm pitch, 20 positions, 2 rows). If your enclosure has a 2.5 mm gap between boards, the 2 mm stack gives you 0.5 mm of clearance; if you need more room for components on the underside, the 3 mm stack opens up an extra millimeter.
