Board-Edge Power Header, Press-Fit Termination
The Molex 876822003 is a 4-position power header from the EXTreme PowerPlus 87682 series. It uses male blade contacts rated for a 50V power interconnect, terminated via press-fit into the PCB — no solder required. Operating temperature spans -20°C to 70°C, covering most indoor power-distribution and industrial-control cabinet environments.
Press-Fit Assembly and Board Layout
This eliminates the solder process step and the associated thermal stress on the board — useful for backplane or high-layer-count PCBs where rework is difficult. The board-edge, right-angle mount requires a cutout or slot at the PCB edge so the header body sits flush with the board outline.
