Crimp contacts and pins are the removable conductive elements used inside multi-position connectors, terminated to wire by cold-forming the metal barrel rather than soldering. Common sub-types include machined pin and socket contacts, stamped-and-formed reel contacts, solid PCB tail pins, and sealed variants rated to IP67 or higher.
