Product details

Panel-Mount BNC Jack, Right-Angle Through-Hole

The BNC-LR(40): Rated to 4 GHz, this connector handles the lower RF bands — comms gear, signal generators, spectrum analyser front ends — where the frequency ceiling and 50 Ohm impedance define the signal path.

The 4 GHz ceiling covers the VHF through lower microwave bands; above that the connector geometry starts to introduce mode conversion and the VSWR climbs. The silver-plated beryllium copper centre contact gives good conductivity and spring memory — 1000 mating cycles is high for a BNC, meaning this jack was designed for test-rack or field-swap duty where the connector sees regular connect-disconnect cycles without the centre pin losing its grip.

Obsolete — Sourcing Reality

The BNC-LR(40) is listed as Obsolete. No official successor part number is on record. If the design can accept a parametric alternative, a current-production 50 Ohm BNC jack with similar flange-mount and right-angle PCB tails would be the practical next step, but no pin-compatible drop-in is documented under this series.
