The Amphenol 68020-112HLF is a 12-circuit, dual-row unshrouded header from the BERGSTIK® II series, designed for board-to-board signal interconnect. It uses a 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both rows and contacts, with a right-angle through-hole termination for perpendicular board mounting. The mating finish is gold or GXT™ at 30.0 µin (0.76 µm) over phosphor bronze pins, rated for 3 A per contact across a -65°C to 125°C operating range.
Board Layout Fit
The 0.100" pitch and dual-row 12-position layout define the board footprint — each row carries six positions, with a 0.100" row-to-row spacing. The right-angle termination puts the pin tails 0.095" (2.41 mm) long below the board, suitable for standard PCB thicknesses. The 0.230" (5.84 mm) mating pin length provides enough reach for mating with standard BERGSTIK receptacles or IDC sockets without bottoming out.
Plating and Current Duty
The gold or GXT™ mating finish at 30.0 µin thickness supports repeated mating cycles without contact fretting — this is the plating grade for signal-level interconnects where low and stable contact resistance matters. The 3 A per contact rating is per-pin at room ambient; derate as the operating temperature approaches the 125°C upper limit. Tin-plated siblings in the same series would carry the same current rating but with fewer mating cycles before oxidation becomes a concern.
