What This Header Is
Ratings That Drive the Fit Decision
Pitch: 0.100" (2.54mm) — this is the standard 2.54mm grid used across the full BERGSTIK II series and is the most common board-to-board header pitch in industrial automation and instrumentation. The board footprint is a straightforward 0.100" x 0.100" grid with no special keep-out beyond standard through-hole drill and pad sizes. Current: 5 A per circuit. The tin plating at 100 µin thickness supports this rating in continuous signal or low-level power use. For any circuit running near the 5 A ceiling, verify the derating curve in the product drawing against your operating temperature — the housing material sets the thermal limit, not the contact alloy alone. Voltage: 110 V. This is the dielectric withstanding voltage rating, not the continuous operating voltage — verify the creepage and clearance in your specific board layout, particularly at higher-altitude installations where air breakdown voltage is reduced.
Where the BERGSTIK II Series Fits
Board-to-board signal and low-level power interconnection in industrial controls, automation equipment, and instrumentation — the 2.54mm pitch and dual-row layout place this squarely in the mid-density range between high-density mezzanine connectors and larger power headers. The unshrouded push-pull design means this header is not keyed against mis-mating — the pairing must come from the receptacle housing's polarizing features or from the board assembly itself. In designs where mis-insertion is a concern, specify the matching keyed housing or add a board-level polarity feature. Sold per piece in a bag. For production volumes, confirm reel or tube packaging availability from Amphenol ICC — this may affect auto-placement planning.
